The guys over at 'How Stuff Works' dropped us a note informing us of a recent article that shows how World of Warcraft works from the client side to the server side.
A world server isn't a single server, though -- it's a collection of
servers. As of 2006, Blizzard had about 9,000 servers around the world.
It's quite an interesting read. Pay them a visit and don't forget to find me in the WoW universe on the Medivh server!
